Sometimes
we can offer a less expensive alternative for damages, i.e.
pocket tears. The weaver uses a process called stoting,
similar to a darning, to pull the tear together. A very
fine needle is used so that the stitches are not seen on
the top of the fabric.
Shown
below is a pocket tear in suit pants. The skillful handwork
of the seamstress makes the repair virtually unnoticeable.
